About the Nature Garden

The Conservation Area (opposite the main playground) is a mini-habitat that attracts all sorts of creepy crawlies, butterflies and perhaps the odd hedgehog! The children even made a special bug hotel – they explored natural materials and made a collection of the resources that they thought would make good habitats, discussing why and how they might use them.

By looking after this area, the children at St Andrew’s can safely enjoy Forest School and hands-on wildlife lessons a short walk from their classrooms.

Watch our website and look for posters on the school gate advertising our next family Working Bee session.
